Austrian ournalist Ingrid Brodnig of Austria describes how right-wing politicians in her country have turned to the online sphere to try to control the political narrative. Brodnig, who authored the book “Hass im Netz” (“Online Hate: What We Can Do Against Hate, Bullying and Lies”), said that the politicians use social media platforms, primarily Facebook, to single out critical journalists, igniting a vitriolic reaction from supporters.
